    Computer Science and specifically Software Development has been one of the fastest growing occupations in the UK and worldwide for many years.     This program is a qualifying degree for Chartered IT Professional status, and partially meets the educational requirements for full Chartered Engineer status. It is delivered by the Department of Computer Science Lecturers and Teaching Fellows, and the majority of teaching staff are PhDs and either Fellows or Senior Fellows of the Higher Education Academy. The Research Excellence Framework found that an uncompromising 100% of the department’s impact research was World Leading, their highest rating category.

    You’ll work on a group project delivering a product using agile processes.

    • Fundamentals of Intelligent Systems

    This module explores the core elements of AI and AI based systems.

    You’ll explore the background of the internet as well as emerging research.

    • MSc Project

    This will be the project on which you will base your dissertation.

    • Modelling, Managing and Securing Data

    You’ll explore good data handling policy, especially in terms of privacy and consistency.

    Entry Requirements

    Successful completion will result in a 1 year MSc degree.

    Applicants must typically have earned at least a 2:2 undergraduate degree in a relevant subject. Other qualifications are also accepted, though. The full list of UK qualifications can be found here, and international qualifications here.

    All classes are taught in English (though some are available in Welsh as well), and international students will be required to show proficiency in English by scoring well on an approved test.
