    Art University Bournemouth’ Film Production BA degree program is very well respected.     Course Outline

    This BA program is delivered over 3 years at full time. However, part-time attendance is an option for many students. It can also be taken as an extended 4 year degree with permission.

    Year 1:

    In your first year, you’ll gain a wide raging basis in the film making arts. You’ll learn technical skills, the theory which informs modern film making, and the principles of health and safety as they relate to the industry.

    Year 2:

    In your second year, you’ll add to your practical and critical skills. You’ll learn to work as a team in a production studio, and begin to develop your own specialty within the group. You’ll also learn how to evaluate your own work effectively.

    Year 3:

    In your final year, you’ll conceive, produce and post-produce a Graduation Film alongside a team of other students. You’ll also do a great deal of independent study to refine your specialist abilities.

    Learning And Teaching

    AUB’s teaching methods vary from module to module, and from program to program. In this case, you will have many practical sessions and relatively few large lectures. You will also have regular tutorial sessions were you will get the individual attention and support you need to develop your skills as a film maker. Assessment is largely based on your produced work.     Entry & Credit

    Successful completion will result in a 3 year BA degree.
