This BA program is delivered over 3 years at full time. However, part-time attendance is an option for many students.
In year 1 you’ll study technical photographic skills, and do practical work on a series of visual projects. In addition, you’ll study critical theory as it applies to photography and understand the art in its contemporary and historical perspectives.
In the second year of the program you’ll delve deeper into theory, as well as into both analogue and digital photographic techniques. You’ll also begin to specialise and to incorporate influences from a wide range of visual media. Lastly, your practical classes and sessions will take on more challenging topics and issues.
In year 3 you’ll produce a portfolio based on a major body of work. You’ll also produce your first set of professional documentation, a CV, and a critical text relating to your work.
