You’ll also develop the professional skills you’ll need to find work.

Bangor’s School of Creative Studies and Media works to closely integrate the theory and criticism of media studies with the hands-on skills of a creative practice degree. That means you’ll not only study but actually produce writings, recorded performances or digital media pieces, and develop a professional portfolio during your studies. You’ll even have access to the school’s top of the line Media Centre, complete with editing sites, production studio space and both digital and traditional media equipment.

The university’s Bangor Employability Award program helps students to develop practical, transferrable skills which add to their employability both within and outside of the media and creative industries. Awards can be earned for participation in extracurricular activities as well as in performance or media-based clubs or performance troupes. The Careers and Employability Service will also help you to find, apply for and win the best roles in your desired field both before and after graduation.
