Course Summary
Bath Spa University’s BSc in Creative Computing specialises in Animation and related skills. The exact trajectory of your education is up to you, as you’ll be choosing optional modules in your areas of special interest.
You’ll learn a wide range of technical skills, including mastering industry standard software packages such as JavaScript, HTML5, PHP, Autodesk, Adobe, and software development in both Java and the C language family. Additionally, you’ll learn the art of CGI creative practice from experts in the industry. This will include how to collaborate in interdisciplinary groups, how to make images, storyboarding, scripting, character design and a wide range of skills-specific animation modules.
The degree program offers a year in working placement between years 2 and 3. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about the work that computer animators and creatives in similar roles actually work, and to begin making the kind of connection that could define your future career.
