    Course Summary

A BSc degree in Accounting from Brikbeck, University of London is a great way to prepare yourself for an exciting and rewarding career in a rapidly growing profession. You’ll learn key perceptive abilities, as well as the ability to analyse business and accounting problems using both qualitative and quantitative research methods. In addition, you’ll learn management skills, including the ability to supervise and lead other accounting professionals as the head of a department or firm.

In comparison to Birkbeck’s BA in Accounting, you’ll have fewer core business modules and more which specialise in advanced accountancy issues. It will prepare you well for roles in both the public and private sectors.

The degree program is fully accredited by many of the UK’s leading accountancy bodies. Not only will that lead to exemptions from testing into these bodies, potential employers will know that you understand their business and your professional responsibilities because you graduated from an accredited school.

If you are changing direction after starting in another career area, you will possess valuable work experience and professional awareness. Many employers actively seek candidates with these benefits. Our network of contacts, a dedicated employability service and a reputation in the legal profession mean we also have an outstanding track-record of finding students legal employment. Many employers favour GDL students in an increasingly competitive legal job market.
