    Course Summary

    A BSc degree in Business Psychology from Brikbeck, University of London will give you important insight into the ways people behave in a business or professional context, as well as an understanding of how to change those behaviours for the better.

    You’ll learn not only the core principles of the discipline of psychology, you’ll learn how to apply them to common business situations. These include developing the careers of people associated with the business training and motivating employees, assessing, selecting and recruiting new employees, and instituting organisational change on a meaningful and minimally traumatic manner.

    Learning & Teaching

    Birkbeck University of London’s Economics and Business program is delivered primarily through lectures, tutorials, practical skills classes and seminar sessions. Some modules are available as distance learning or blended learning programs. Though these modules will include little face-to-face time with the course tutor, many educational technologies are available to provide a fully interactive learning experience.

    You can expect around 240 contact hours in year one, and another 240 contact hours in year 2. Year 3 will have substantially less contact time, at 120 hours on average.

    Career Possiblities

    A BSc degree in Business Psychology is a great way to found a career in the business world, but you could just as easily find yourself applying all of the transferrable skills you’ll learn to the public or not for profit sectors. Recent graduates of the program have become Human Resource Officers, Management Consultants and Business Psychologists, among many other roles.     Entry Credit

    Successful completion will result in a 3 year BSc degree.

    Applicants must typically have earned 120 UCAS Tariff points or the international equivalent. The full list of accepted qualifications can be found here.

    All classes are taught in English, and international students will be required to show proficiency in English by scoring well on an approved test. An IELTS score of 7.0 overall with no section scoring less than 6.5 would qualify, for example.
