    Course Summary

The life sciences are probably one of the most varied and fast moving fields of human knowledge. They touch on the very nature of life, what differentiates living beings form their environment and how both relate to each other. There can be no doubt that the life sciences have helped to build the modern world, including everything from modern medicine to the selective breeding procedures used in farming and from unearthing the life of the past to predicting the environment of the future.

Environmental science is a narrower field, yet one which also incorporates a more detailed understanding of the physical sciences – from geology and soil science to meteorology, hydrology and processes like volcanism.

Brandon University’s Master of Science in the Environmental and Life Sciences is highly interdisciplinary, and will give you a wide range of skills. You will learn to apply life and environmental science technologies, as well as to do original research in the field.
