    Course Summary

Brunel London University’s Aerospace Engineering MEng degree program is very highly regarded. It is ranked third in London by the 2018 edition of the Complete University Guide, and is located right next to Heathrow Airport, a centre of Aerospace Engineering and technology in the South. This makes site visits and industrial placements extremely convenient. By the time you graduate, you’ll have developed the qualities you’ll need to take on a managerial or executive role within the Aerospace Engineering industry.

The program itself is as rigorous as the subject matter demands. It combines a great deal of hands-on technical skill training with a traditional academic approach to the mathematic and theoretical aspects of the engineering discipline. You’ll develop advanced analytical and computational skills and a deep understanding of how aircraft are designed, operated and maintained. You’ll also gain the professional skills you’ll need to win and keep the best roles in this exciting, challenging industry.

If you are changing direction after starting in another career area, you will possess valuable work experience and professional awareness. Many employers actively seek candidates with these benefits. Our network of contacts, a dedicated employability service and a reputation in the legal profession mean we also have an outstanding track-record of finding students legal employment. Many employers favour GDL students in an increasingly competitive legal job market. Through studying another degree subject, you will have gained many transferable skills. By taking the conversion route into law, you are showing motivation and determination by choosing law at a later stage than some others. This looks good to employers.

    Career Possibilities

This degree program is highly respected in the aerospace industry. The so called ‘thick sandwich’ 5 year degree structure is known to produce highly qualified and capable graduates. In fact, it is common for students to receive several employment offers even before they have graduated.

Recent alumni have gone on to work for organisations like Lockheed Martin, BAE Systems, Marshall Aerospace, GE Energy, Airbus, Roll-Royce Aero Engines and many more.

    Entry & Credit

Successful completion will result in an MEng degree.

Applicants must typically have achieved 3 A Levels at AAA or higher. These should include Maths and Physics, but not General Studies. Other equivalent qualifications may also be accepted.

All classes are taught in English, and international students will be required to show proficiency in English by scoring well on an approved test such as the IELTS.
