    Course Summary

Brunel London University’s BSc in Business Computing is designed to give students a deep understanding of the systems and processes which underlie modern business information systems. You’ll study the core principles of software, including common commercial systems and network architectures, information science in general, and how algorithms and programs do the actual work of making information available to users. You have the option of choosing a specialty in Social Media, Human-Computer Interaction or eBusiness.

You will learn how the needs of these organisations change over time, and how to best adapt new technologies and software systems to address them. In addition, you’ll come to understand how new systems and technologies both allow and spur innovation in business processes.

You’ll also gain crucial project management skills, and learn how to manage teams of coders, programmers and computer scientists in order to deliver efficient, effective business computing systems that meet exacting client specifications.

If you are changing direction after starting in another career area, you will possess valuable work experience and professional awareness. Many employers actively seek candidates with these benefits. Our network of contacts, a dedicated employability service and a reputation in the legal profession mean we also have an outstanding track-record of finding students legal employment. Many employers favour GDL students in an increasingly competitive legal job market.
