    Course Summary

An MBA specialising in International Business Administration from Buckinghamshire New University will give you not merely a top of the line business education and familiarity with the latest management and leadership concepts, it will give you the capabilities you need to lend nearly any organisation greater institutional resilience and a bitter ability to explore new and untried options when it comes to sustainability and responsiveness to other new market demands. Specifically, you’ll study project management, digital leadership, and an integrated, holistic management perspective.

This degree program incorporates a great deal of ‘work based learning’, meaning that there will be many opportunities to work directly with the university’s business partners on projects, or to engage in working placements either during or between your periods of study. For example, you might opt for a Negotiated Work Based Learning Project or Consultancy Project rather than a Dissertation as the capstone of this program.

If you are changing direction after starting in another career area, you will possess valuable work experience and professional awareness. Many employers actively seek candidates with these benefits. Our network of contacts, a dedicated employability service and a reputation in the legal profession mean we also have an outstanding track-record of finding students legal employment. Many employers favour GDL students in an increasingly competitive legal job market. Through studying another degree subject, you will have gained many transferable skills. By taking the conversion route into law, you are showing motivation and determination by choosing law at a later stage than some others. This looks good to employers.

You’ll study 8 taught modules in total as well as a single self-managed module, ether a Dissertation or Project.  As you learn you’ll pay special attention to the concept of Continuing Professional Development, but also engaging in the traditional lectures, case studies, presentations and group discussions common to master’s level study.

    Career Possiblities

Buckinghamshire New University’s International MBA degree qualifies you for a wide range of exciting leadership roles in both domestic and international organisations of all kinds. However, many Bucks Business School graduates opt to go into business for themselves. If that is the case for you you’ll have access to the school’s ‘Launch Pad’ incubator program which provide office space and meeting rooms. You’ll have the full support of the Careers and Employability Service no matter what you choose, as well.
