    Course Summary

Athletic therapists have many responsibilities. They design, prescribe and supervise rehabilitation programs to help patients recover from trauma or injury, as well as assessing the various injuries, illnesses and other conditions which can prevent an athlete – or any person – from performing at their full potential.

Camosun College’s Bachelor’s of Athletic and Exercise Therapy program is a complete 4 year degree which combines two distinct disciplines. It will not only provide you with all the knowledge and skill that you’ll need to become a certified athletic therapist, it will help you extend that knowledge to help non-athletes improve their physical fitness, performance and overall sense of wellbeing.

As a Certified Athletic Therapist, you’d be in a position to help people who have experiences a debilitation injury or illness to regain their abilities as much as possible, and to safely resume their normal activities – whether that means running a marathon or simply biking in to work once a week.
