It will allow you to explore all aspects of the commercial aviation industry, including Airport Operations Management, Aviation Strategic Management, Aviation law and a wide range of Human and HR issues unique to the Aviation industry generally. You’ll also learn the kind of industry-specific leadership skills you’ll need to attain a responsible position in aviation.

You’ll have the option to study at full time or at part time around work or other commitments. Its purpose is to help supply the aviation industry both in the UK and abroad with the skilled management professionals it needs, and to help its students to find the rewarding, challenging careers they need to thrive in life. You’ll learn the skills and theoretical perspectives you’ll need to add value to nearly any company in the aviation industry, from the largest employers to your own start-up or SME.

    Learning And Teaching

Many of these will take place in specialised laboratories or facilities that simulate operational environments in the aviation industry. The seminars are often very similar to skills workshops, and you will be able to practice some of the techniques you have learned in lecture that week. You will also do quite a bit of your own research.

    Career Possibilities

The aviation industry both in the UK and abroad had need of more skilled graduates than universities typically produce, so you should have little trouble finding your first few roles. Recent Cardiff Met Aviation Management graduates have become General Managers, Logistics Mangers, Production Managers and Operations Managers, and tend to have a lot of responsibility for managing their units or entire organisations. Other students go on to get and MA, MSc or MRes in a related subject.

    Entry & Credit

Successful completion will result in a 3 year BA degree.

Applicants must typically have earned 112 UCAS Tariff Points, but other qualifications are also accepted. The full list of accepted qualifications can be found here.

All classes are taught in English, and international students will be required to show proficiency in English by scoring well on an approved test.
