    Cardiff University’s Accounting and Finance BSc will equip you to take on a management position in any of a number of sectors, especially when your year of working experience in Professional Placement is considered.

    You will learn about statistics, marketing, law, economics and management, as well as advanced aspects of financial accounting, management accounting and business finance.

    Course Outline

    This course is typically delivered over 4 years, including a year spent in professional placement. Below you can find a list of the required modules delivered in each year, but you will also have access to a range of electives, especially in the 2nd and 4th years.

    Year 1:

    This year you’ll be introduced to financial and management accounting techniques, as well as some aspects of law, marketing, management, mathematics and applied statistics.

    Year 2 will give you more theoretical knowledge as well as a practical understanding of the procedures you’ll use in practice. You will also begn to specialise, choosing your first elective modules.

    Year 3:

    This year will be spent in a working placement in a professional context appropriate to your abilities and chosen career path. This will give you critical insight into real working conditions as well as help you begin building your own professional network.

    Year 4:

    This year will be similar to year 2, but with more advanced core modules and a wider array of specialised electives open to you.

    Learning And Teaching

    Cardiff’s Accounting and Finance BSc program is taught by some of the foremost academics in these fields, as well as by professors and guest speakers with practical, real world experience in business.     Entry Credit

    Entry Requirements for UK and EU-nationals

    This BSc program typically requires applicants to have achieved at least 3 A levels at AAB in any subject but General Studies. Other accreditations are accepted, at an equivalent level.

    Entry Requirements for overseas (non-EU) students

    International students must be fluent in written and spoken English. This can be demonstrated by an excellent IELTS score or any of a range of tests listed here.

    International students must also have earned a qualification that is the equivalent of that required for UK and EU students.
