On the Accounting side, you’ll learn to interpret and analyse financial data on a critical level and to make financial decisions within a regulatory framework.

    Learning & Teaching

    The above curriculum will be delivered through many different teaching methods, including lectures, seminars, skills sessions, and group or individual study. You’ll be assessed on your coursework and exam results, in approximately equal proportion. You should expect to spend roughly 14 hours per week in ‘contact time’ and at least 38 in individual or group study, at least during the first year. These proportions will shift when you begin selecting optional modules.

    This degree is excellent preparation for a career management in nearly any industry. Recent graduates have become Commercial Finance Analysts, Auditors, Cost Technicians, Tax Processors and even Financial Criminal Analysts at organisations such as Red Bull, KPMG, PepsiCo, Grant Thornton and Barclays.

    If you would like to enhance your employability, you can arrange a work experience placement. Recent placements have included positions at Walt Disney, the NHS, TNT, Xerox and Deloitte, as well as many others.

    Entry Credit

    Successful completion will result in a 3 year BA degree.

    Applicants must typically have earned 104 UCAS Tariff points (including at least 2 A Levels), but other qualifications are also accepted. The full list of UK qualifications can be found here.

    All classes are taught in English and international students will be required to show proficiency in English by scoring well on an approved test. An IELTS score of 6.0 overall with no section scoring less than 5.5 would qualify, for example.
