    Year 1

    Your first year will see you learning the basics of economics, accounting, finance and international law.

    Learning & Teaching

    You will be taught using many different methods throughout Be Montfort’s Global Finance BSc program. These will include self-directed study, group work tutorials and of course larger lecture classes. You’ll have academic support at all times, including 1 to 1 access to a designated mentor. Your progress will typically be assessed based on test or examination scores and through coursework. The latter will generally include reports, essays and/or presentations.

    Career Possibilities

    In addition to the core taught modules, you’ll have the opportunity to expand your international experience with a year studying abroad at one of DMU’s partner universities. This will do wonders for your employability, especially with overseas organisations. Recent graduates from this program have taken roles like Financial Analyst, Finance Officer, Corporate Treasury Specialist and Finance Performance Analyst at organisations including BP, PwC. Phillips Electronics and Mattel.

    Entry Credit

    Successful completion will result in a 3 year BSc degree.

    Applicants must typically have earned 112 UCAS Tariff points (including at least 2 A Levels), but other qualifications are also accepted. The full list of UK qualifications can be found here.

    All classes are taught in English and international students will be required to show proficiency in English by scoring well on an approved test. An IELTS score of 6.0 overall and no less than 5.5 in any one section would qualify, for example.
