    Course Summary

    A BSc in Business and Finance with marketing from Edge Hill University will see you gain a wide range of business, management and marketing skills as well as developing your own network of business and industry contacts through working with real world clients and / or setting up a small start-up organisation.

    In addition to a BSc degree from one of the UK’s leading universities, you’ll qualify for a Level 5 Certificate in Management and Leadership from the Chartered Management Institute upon graduation. This could open many doors for you in several different industries.

    You may be able to spend your third year in a working placement or studying abroad under the ERASMUS scheme, making this a 4 year degree.     Learning & Teaching

    Edge Hill’s Business and Management with Marketing BSc program relies heavily on lectures, seminars and tutorial sessions to convey its core concepts, but you will also spend a great deal of time in independent and directed study. You’ll complete a range of written coursework and undertake projects individually and in small groups. You’ll also be able to choose between undertaking a work placement or your own graduate enterprise project.

    Career Possibilities

    As a BSc graduate and a CMI Level 5 Certificate in Management and Leadership holder, you’ll be well prepared to start a career as a Marketer, Retail Manager, Banker, Teacher or Educator, Public Sector Administrator, a Marketing Specialist or as the founder of a Start-Up or SME. Depending on the optional modules you choose you may also be eligible for exemptions from testing into the Chartered Institute of Marketing as well.

    Entry Credit

    Successful completion will result in a 3 year BSc degree.

    Applicants must typically have achieved 112 UCAS tariff points, or the international equivalent. Beyond that, a wide range of qualifications are accepted.

    All classes are taught in English, and international students will be required to show proficiency in English by scoring well on an approved test. An IELTS score of 6.0 overall and no less than 5.5 in any subsection would qualify, for example.
