    Falmouth University’s BSc degree in Business and Management is designed to teach you everything you need to know to create, manage and grow a business. You’ll learn how to identify new business opportunities and threats, how to establish and nurture partnerships and other business relationships and how to pitch products, services and solutions to potential clients.  

    In addition to classroom and studio learning, you’ll do real work for actual clients. You’ll pitch various products and services to them, consult with them in order to deliver applicable client strategies, and write various kinds of reports and documents.

    Course Outline

    In your second year you’ll improve your skills in business management as well as learning how to apply different management styles in different situations.

    In your final year, you’ll explore several modules oriented around growing a business or professional practice. You’ll also deliver a large academic dissertation, an extensive applied project or conduct a work placement within your specialty.

    Learning & Teaching

    Falmouth University’s BSc in Business and Management is equally focused on academic achievement, theoretical learning and the development of practical skills. Year one begins with a focus on team building and business plan creation. By year three you’ll be pitching what you’ve developed to real world clients, and they might even buy in. Each module meets once per week for a n hour of lecture, and again for a two hour seminar.   

    Career Possiblities

    This degree is designed to prepare graduates to accept a wide range of roles in the business world. Some will accept responsible or leadership roles in large national or international organisations in the Banking, Industrial Relations, Recruitment, HR, Marketing or Business Development spaces. Others will become high level managers of smaller organisations. Still others will become management consultants or may open their own businesses in a wide range of industries.

    Entry Credit

    Successful completion will result in a 3 year BA degree.

    Applicants must typically have earned 104 UCAS Tariff points, but other qualifications are also accepted. The full list of accepted qualifications can be found here.

    All classes are taught in English, and international students will be required to show proficiency in English by scoring well on an approved test. An excellent IELTS score of 6.0 overall with no segment less than 5.5 would qualify, for example.
