    Course Summary

Falmouth University has been a noted art, design and visual representational institution for more than 100 years, and nowhere is that heritage more evident than in their BA degree program in Photography. From the earliest days of photographic technology through to today, they have been at the forefront of artistic, critical and technological techniques.

This is a course intended to give you a wide range of practical skills, not just in terms of producing exciting, memorable and technically precise work, but also in terms of making your practice a commercially successful venture. In addition to artistic and mechanical technique, you’ll learn how to address the needs of different types of clients whist still expressing your unique vision.

In addition to classroom and studio learning, you’ll have the opportunity to explore working placements and pursuing paid commission work with the university’s in-house agency. You’ll also be able to seek portfolio reviews and feedback from the experts who visit Falmouth regularly.

If you are changing direction after starting in another career area, you will possess valuable work experience and professional awareness. Many employers actively seek candidates with these benefits. Our network of contacts, a dedicated employability service and a reputation in the legal profession mean we also have an outstanding track-record of finding students legal employment. Many employers favour GDL students in an increasingly competitive legal job market. Through studying another degree subject, you will have gained many transferable skills. By taking the conversion route into law, you are showing motivation and determination by choosing law at a later stage than some others. This looks good to employers.
