    Course Summary

    A BSc in Computer Games (Art and Animation) from Glasgow Caledonian University will pave the way towards an exciting, lucrative career in creating visual elements for the video games industry.

    The Industrial Practice module will be an excellent opportunity to gain real world working skills, and to impress a potential employer.

    Learning And Teaching

    GCU’s teaching methods are varied, and chosen to support the subject matter presented in each module. In most cases, the teaching staff are themselves heavily involved in the topic, having delivered relevant research and scholarly activity on the matter, or actively providing consultation services to commercial and industrial clients. In addition, you’ll be encouraged to participate in the Scottish Game Jam, an annual competition held on campus at Glasgow Caledonian University.

    Career Possibilities

    Any Computing degree from Glasgow Caledonian University will make you a very competitive candidate for a wide range of roles. This degree, however, gives you an in-depth understanding of the creative aspects of this industry, and most of GCU’s Computer Games (Art and Animation) graduates take on roles in the creative industries.     Entry & Credit

    Successful completion will result in a 4 year BSc degree.

    All classes are taught in English, and international students will be required to show proficiency in English by scoring well on an approved test. A good IELTS score would qualify, for example.
