Course Summary
The BEng in Electrical Power Engineering offered by Glasgow Caledonian University has been created in consultation with local and national industry leaders in order to produce highly skilled, eminently employable graduates who have all of the skills they’ll need to forge an exciting career in this rapidly growing industry.
You’ll learn electrical, electronic and mechanical engineering principles as well as many more specialised modules dealing with power electronics, power engineering and several closely related principles.
This course also conveys a wide range of ‘general employability’ skills which will make you more competitive as a job applicant. These include leadership skills, problem solving, team work, communication and the option of two separate placements as part of your year 3 studies.
You should seriously consider one or both placement options, as it will give you vitally needed real world working skills and a substantial advantage over engineering graduates without such experience.
