    Course Summary

The food industry claims nearly the entire population of the earth as its customers, and is a major employer all over the world. However, it takes more than farmers and grocers to make sure this industry continues to meet the needs of a continually growing population.

Students who wish to build a career in the food industry will see a tremendous opportunity in this course, as it will give them the management and business analysis skills they need to balance the needs of company profit, adherence to public policy and environmental protection.

This PgC, PgD, MSc or MRes degree program seeks to give you an understanding of how this dynamic industry operates. You’ll come to understand how it overcomes obstacles and takes advantage of opportunities. You’ll also learn about the complex interconnections between growers, food processors, wholesalers, retailers and every other link in the food and agri-products supply chain.
