    Course Summary

King’s College’s LLB degree program is one of the longest established in the UK, and is very well regarded both nationally and internationally. Not just the College’s history of teaching excellence but also its physical location in London – the legal capitol of the UK and one of the most important cities in the world in terms of the academic study of law – make this course an excellent choice for those who wish to make the law their focus as a discipline.

The teaching staff are leading academics and practitioners, and many of the institutions at the legal heart of the UK are all literally on the facility’s doorstep. These include the Inns of Court, the Law Society and the Royal Courts of Justice as well as some of the most successful law firms in the world.

If you are changing direction after starting in another career area, you will possess valuable work experience and professional awareness. Many employers actively seek candidates with these benefits. Our network of contacts, a dedicated employability service and a reputation in the legal profession mean we also have an outstanding track-record of finding students legal employment. Many employers favour GDL students in an increasingly competitive legal job market. Through studying another degree subject, you will have gained many transferable skills. By taking the conversion route into law, you are showing motivation and determination by choosing law at a later stage than some others. This looks good to employers.
