    Learning And Teaching

    Leeds Beckett University’s Computer Science MEng program is delivered primarily through lectures, computer workshops and seminar sessions, but also features working education opportunities. Some of the modules listed above may be available as distance learning or blended learning programs. Though such modules will include less face-to-face time with the course tutor, many educational technologies are available to provide a fully interactive learning experience.

    The university can offer additional support in terms of your written English, numeracy and academic skills, or for any special needs you may have.

    This degree is an excellent way to qualify for a well-respected and highly paid position in almost any industry. Few business can get by without at least Consultancy form a computer science specialist today, and many have entire IT departments.

     

    Many recent graduates have found success as Network Architects, Network Designers, Industrial Controls Designers, Cloud Solutions Developers, Database Architects or Software Engineers. Mnay indeed find themselves in management or leadership roles within their specialty.

     

    Entry & Credit

    Successful completion will result in a 4 year MEng degree.

    Applicants must typically have earned 112 UCAS Tariff points or the international equivalent. However, working experience will also be considered. The full list of accepted qualifications can be found here.

    All classes are taught in English, and international students will be required to show proficiency in English by scoring well on an approved test. An IELTS score of 6.0 overall with no section scoring less than 5.5 would qualify, for example.
