    Course Summary

The MBA has been the gold standard for business education for generations, ensuring that business leaders have the training and technical skill they need to excel.  Liverpool John Moores University’s take on the classic shows why their Liverpool Business School is so highly respected. The taught modules benefit for the university’s proprietary research and the expertise of its tutors, and the learning environment couldn’t be better – the dedicated post graduate study facilities at the recently renovated £38 million Redmonds Building.

This is a very flexible program, designed for professionals who are currently working or practicing just as much as for students who have managerial experience and the free time to dedicate to full-time study. Much of the taught content is delivered in blocks to ensure that it fits around your other commitments. Better still, you can select from a range of optional modules which define the expertise you need to enhance your career prospects.

If you are changing direction after starting in another career area, you will possess valuable work experience and professional awareness. Many employers actively seek candidates with these benefits. Our network of contacts, a dedicated employability service and a reputation in the legal profession mean we also have an outstanding track-record of finding students legal employment. Many employers favour GDL students in an increasingly competitive legal job market. Through studying another degree subject, you will have gained many transferable skills. By taking the conversion route into law, you are showing motivation and determination by choosing law at a later stage than some others. This looks good to employers.

    • Applied learning
    • Recognising the workplace as an important place to learn
    • Self-development planning
    • Flipped learning
    • Action learning
    • Projects
    • Masterclasses
    • Assessment

The emphasis may vary depending on your choice of optional modules.

    Career Possiblities

LJMU’s postgraduate employment rate is an enviable 96% at 6 months. This is largely due to the university’s advanced research-led teaching techniques, the intense degree of industry input into curriculum design and the confidence hiring organisations have in their graduates. However, the self-confidence their MBA graduates bring to their new roles is just as much of a factor. LJMU’s MBA students know they are on the ‘fast track’, no matter what their current role.
