    Course Outline

    This is a 3 year program for most students, or 4 years with a year in working placement. If taken at part time it can be delivered across as many as 6 years.

    You’ll learn in various ways, from attending tutorials, seminars and formal lectures to working on projects with real world applications in small, interdisciplinary groups. You’ll be taught by professors who are leaders in their fields, with years of experience. You’ll be able to rely on both a personal tutor and student mentor throughout your studies. You’ll also have access to the university’s bespoke Moodle Virtual Learning Environment 365 days a year at any time of the day or night.

    Computer Science is a dynamic specialism, and one which never stops developing. Successfully completing this program gives you everything you’ll need to begin either an academic, a commercial or an industrial career. Many students start their own IT businesses. You’ll also have access to the university’s Employability Service to help you find those all-important first few roles. Recent graduates have taken roles in Quality Control, Medical Writing, Education and Academic Research.

    Entry Credit

    Successful completion will result in a full MSc degree.

    Applicants must typically have achieved several years of relevant work experience and a 2:2 undergraduate degree, or the international equivalent. Beyond that, a wide range of qualifications are accepted.

    All classes are taught in English, and international students will be required to show proficiency in English by scoring well on an approved test. An excellent IELTS score would qualify, for example.
