    Learning & Teaching

MMU’s Biology programs use a range of learning and teaching methods, selected based on the needs of each module. Most will include lecture sessions, especially in the first 2-3 years. Smaller groups such as seminar or tutorial sessions will become more common as you begin taking higher level modules. There will also be a great deal of laboratory and skills sessions. Lastly, you will spend 2-4 hours in independent study for every hour in class.

    Career Possiblities

MMU’s MBiol graduates will have amassed a wide variety of transferable skills which can lead to careers in almost any sector or industry. However, it is more common for graduates to take up roles in nature conservation organisations, environmental consultancies, pharmaceutical organisations, or research laboratories either at the industrial or academic level. Others go into teaching, and a few more go on to study for their PhD or another higher certification.

    Entry Credit

Successful completion will result in a 4 year integrated MBiol degree.

Applicants must typically have GCSEs in English and Mathematics at C (4) or higher. The full list of national and international qualifications accepted can be found here.

All classes are taught in English, and international students will be required to show proficiency in the English language.
