    Integrated Business and Humanities (IBH) programs like this one aim to produce well rounded graduates who can change the world in both corporate and social manners.     Course Outline

    This degree program is typically delivered over 4 years of full time study.

    Co-ops and Internships (optional)

    Students will be able to access either 12 or 16 month paid internships. These usually take place between years 3 and 4.

    Before you may apply for an internship, you’ll need to take Commerce 3IN0. This is a non-credited, workshop-based course which will prepare you for the job selection process. If successful, you will work in the field of your specialisation for a period of 1 year to 16 months, gaining practical, real world experience and building a professional network.

    The average salary for interns in this program is approximately CAD$39,000 per year.

    Learning And Teaching

    McMaster University’s Undergraduate programs are delivered primarily through lectures and seminars, though you will also attend busienss skills workshops and special events. Some modules may be available as distance learning or blended learning programs.

    This degree program makes use of work based and co-operative learning methods as well. Interested students have access to a career development course followed by a 12 or 16 month paid internship which will be arranged with the university.

    This degree will prepare you for an active and fulfilling career in a range of industries and fields or for graduate level courses, both at McMaster and at institutions like Harvard, MIT, Princeton, LSE and many more.     Entry & Credit

    Successful completion will result in a 4 year BCom degree.

    Applicants must typically have completed a university preparatory program at a senior secondary school which included English, Maths, Calculus and AP Statistics content, or the international equivalent.

    All classes are taught in English unless otherwise noted, and international students will be required to show proficiency in English by scoring well on an approved test.
