    Course Summary

A Joint BA in Accounting and Finance from Middlesex University London will not only give you a solid knowledge of the financial services industry on a global scale, it will give you the accounting skills you’ll need to find success in a wide range of backing, finance or professional accountancy roles.  As the program is CIMA, ICAEW and ACCA certified, you’ll be entitled to several important exemptions if you chose to sit your professional exams.

This program includes an optional year in professional placement. Alternatively, you can opt for a pair of 18 week placements over the summer terms. Either option represents a great opportunity for you, as you’ll learn real world professional skills from people already working in your chosen specialty. You might even be offered post graduate employment by your placement host, if you impress them sufficiently. In fact, some 70% of these placements result in such an offer – conditional on successful graduation, of course.

If you are changing direction after starting in another career area, you will possess valuable work experience and professional awareness. Many employers actively seek candidates with these benefits. Our network of contacts, a dedicated employability service and a reputation in the legal profession mean we also have an outstanding track-record of finding students legal employment. Many employers favour GDL students in an increasingly competitive legal job market. Through studying another degree subject, you will have gained many transferable skills. By taking the conversion route into law, you are showing motivation and determination by choosing law at a later stage than some others. This looks good to employers.
