    Course Summary

    Nottingham Trent University’s BA program in Economics with International Finance and Banking uses the core concepts of Economics to give context to the advanced business, finance and banking skills you’ll learn over the next 3-4 years.

    You’ll learn how to analyse financial instruments, as well as understanding the tools, strategies and best practices of strategy, planning and decision making in the financial context. You’ll also gain familiarity with the tools and applications of economics and finance at NTU’s advanced Trading room Facility.

    Learning & Teaching

    NTU places emphasis on three elements in teaching this economics degree – developing your qualitative and quantitative analysis skills, giving you the ability to apply theory to real world events and issues, and exposing you to a wide range of economic concepts and perspectives. In addition, you’ll gain practical skills in Nottingham’s unique Trading Room facility which accurately simulated the shares trading experience.

    Career Possiblities

    Incredibly, 100% of NTUs economics graduates were either employed or pursuing higher degrees within 6 months of graduation according to the DLHE for the 2016/2017 year. They have gone on to become Sales Assistants, Fraud Coordinators, Junior Auditor Assistants, Market Analysts and Risk Analysts for organisations like Lloyds, Deutsche Bank and Next.

    Entry Requirements for UK and EU-nationals

    Applicants for this BA degree program must have achieved 3 A Levels at BBB or better. Note that A Levels in General Studies may not be applied. Other academic certifications at a similar level can also be accepted.
