    Course Summary

Interior Architecture is a hybrid discipline, bridging Architecture and Furniture. A BA degree in Interior Architecture from Oxford Brookes University is an excellent opportunity to improve your existing design skills and to engage with the process of transforming interior spaces on a professional level. It will be a chance to study how people perceive and respond to different types of space, and especially the way one’s cultural background and experience affect what one wants from a designed interior.

Some of the many strengths of this course include:

    • It is set in the city of Oxford, and partakes of the more than 1000 years of design history on display there.
    • According to the NSS in 2017, 93% of students were satisfied by the course, and 100% felt that it offered them excellent opportunities to explore ideas and concepts.
    • It features purpose-built studio and workshop space.
    • You’ll have access to the Oxarch lecture series.

If you are changing direction after starting in another career area, you will possess valuable work experience and professional awareness. Many employers actively seek candidates with these benefits. Our network of contacts, a dedicated employability service and a reputation in the legal profession mean we also have an outstanding track-record of finding students legal employment. Many employers favour GDL students in an increasingly competitive legal job market. Through studying another degree subject, you will have gained many transferable skills. By taking the conversion route into law, you are showing motivation and determination by choosing law at a later stage than some others. This looks good to employers.
