Course Summary
A Paramedic is a type of AHP (Allied Health Professional) who care for patients on an emergency or unscheduled basis outside of hospitals and clinics. They are responsible for managing and accessing all kinds of patients, and have to be able to deal competently with just about every kind of injury or illness.
Oxford Brookes University offers an Honours BSc program in Paramedic Science which has been fully endorsed by the College of Paramedics and approved by the Health and Care Professions Council. Your instructors will be experienced paramedics and specialists of closely related fields.
This program was developed in partnership with a range of healthcare providers including the South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust. They will make it possible for students to experience paramedic service in many different clinical settings. In fact, you’ll experience more than 2000 hours of clinical practice before you graduate.
