    Learning & Teaching

Plymouth Marjon University uses fairly standard teaching methods. These include the familiar modes of large, formal lectures, smaller and more interactive seminars, practical skills workshops and other classroom activities. However, there is also a great deal of emphasis on gaining practical, real world skills. Towards that end, you’ll complete a working placement of at least 100 hours or conduct sports events with one of the university’s partner organisations in year 2.

    Career Possiblities

More than 95% of Marjon’s graduates find suitable work (or enter into higher degree programs) within 6 months of successfully completing their degrees.

This degree has the potential to earn you positions with a wide range of organisations in the physical and activity and sport sectors. You might take on roles with NGB County Sports Partnerships like Active Devon, Local Authorities, or a range of sport and leisure facilities anywhere in the world.

Postgraduate study is also a great possibility.

    Entry Credit

Successful completion will result in a 3 year BA degree.

Applicants must typically have earned 96 UCAS Tariff points, 3 A Levels at CCC or better, or the international equivalent. The full list of qualifications which are accepted can be found here.

All classes are taught in English, and international students will be required to show proficiency in English by scoring well on an approved test. An IELTS score of 6.0 or better overall would qualify, for example.
