    Course Summary

A BA or BA (with Honours) in Events Management from Queen Margaret University will teach you how to organise any event from a huge arts festival to a new product launce or a trade convention. In fact, you’ll put on your own live even as part of your year 2 studies.

You’ll study planning, management, budgeting, staging, marketing and promotion as well as the requirements to comply with law, regulations and best industry practices of sustainability.

Note that you’ll be attending classes a mere six minute’s travel from the site of one of the biggest arts festivals on Earth. This is a tremendous opportunity for Events Management students, and many year 2 and 3 students become involved with either the Edinburgh Festival Fringe or the Celtic Connections festival in nearby Glasgow. Either is a great way to gain vital real world experience and start your career off with a fine CV entry.

If you are changing direction after starting in another career area, you will possess valuable work experience and professional awareness.
