Course Summary
Queen Margaret University’s BA (or BA with Honours) degree in International Hospitality and Tourism Management is a great way to prepare yourself for a career in a rapidly growing industry. Not only will you gain practical skills in business management generally and relating to the tourism and hospitality industries specifically, you’ll learn how to anticipate the way changes in the political, social and economic spheres will affect your industry and your business in particular.
In the early parts of the program you’ll study managing resources, money and people in a tourism or hospitality business. You’ll experience a placement in a 5-star hotel in year one, as well as a placement in a world leading cookery school’s kitchens.
In the latter half of the program, your studies will focus more on management techniques and how to meet the unique challenges of this industry. You’ll also produce a dissertation on a topic of your choice.
