    Course Summary

A BSc in Psychology and Sociology from Queen Margaret University looks at people form 2 very different perspectives. You’ll learn about the minds of individuals and the behaviour of groups, looking at how the two concepts form complex interactions.

As you study Psychology, you’ll learn about the way people behave and the mental processes that underlie those behaviours. You’ll see how genetics, culture and the environment all play parts in determining psychological processes, and how people develop.

Your Sociology material will cover the core characteristics of different societies. It looks at how people interact in large groups, and aims to develop better tools for managing diversity, equality and societal change.

The two disciplines combine to give you a wide range of highly transferrable skills. You’ll learn about the histories of sociological and psychological thought, as well as ways to use these principles in professional and social situations of all kinds.
