    Course Summary

An MSc in Business Information Systems from the Royal Holloway University of London will convey expertise in modern information and communications systems, and how they are used in business settings. You can use this expertise to build a career as a ‘hybrid manager’, a multidisciplinary researcher or a commercial IT practitioner overseeing the construction of the next generation of IT systems in business, industry or public life.

You’ll study marketing, business strategy, organisational behaviour, systems design, technology management and the fundamentals of IT systems in equal measure. This merger of technical skill and management expertise is rare and highly sought after. Better still, this is a very flexible program, allowing you to literally create your own area of expertise by selecting optional modules and researching new and unique concepts with the help of experts in their fields.

If you are changing direction after starting in another career area, you will possess valuable work experience and professional awareness. Many employers actively seek candidates with these benefits. Our network of contacts, a dedicated employability service and a reputation in the legal profession mean we also have an outstanding track-record of finding students legal employment. Many employers favour GDL students in an increasingly competitive legal job market. Through studying another degree subject, you will have gained many transferable skills. By taking the conversion route into law, you are showing motivation and determination by choosing law at a later stage than some others. This looks good to employers.
