    Course Summary

Skilled Electronic Engineering graduates are always highly in demand, both in the UK and all around the world. Even more desirable are graduates who have actually worked in their chosen field for a substantial period of time.

The Royal Holloway University of London’s BEng program is designed to give its students a robust skillset that is not only readily applicable to a career in engineering but also highly transferrable. Over the four years you’ll spend in the program, you’ll develop strong product development, invention and ingenuity skills. You’ll experience both the practical and theoretical modes of learning, and gain crucial real world working experience during your placement year.

You’ll study in a newly built, specially designed facility. More than £20 million has been (and is still being) spent to provide the latest techniques, the most cutting edge equipment and the latest word in collaboration and research spaces.

If you are changing direction after starting in another career area, you will possess valuable work experience and professional awareness. Many employers actively seek candidates with these benefits. Our network of contacts, a dedicated employability service and a reputation in the legal profession mean we also have an outstanding track-record of finding students legal employment. Many employers favour GDL students in an increasingly competitive legal job market. Through studying another degree subject, you will have gained many transferable skills. By taking the conversion route into law, you are showing motivation and determination by choosing law at a later stage than some others. This looks good to employers.
