    Course Summary

    The Royal Holloway University of London’s BA in Politics and International Relations will prepare students for careers in areas touching civil affairs, the law, and government. Throughout the program you’ll explore the ideas and processes that underlie modern international relations as well as issues such as diplomacy, international development, Security and war.

    You’ll study both Politics and International Relations, gaining from each a different perspective on the way states, groups and even individuals interact, and learning different contexts form which to analyse the political institutions that shape the modern world.

    Learning & Teaching

    The Royal Holloway University of London’s Politics and International Relations program is presented as a series of 4 taught modules per year, 12 course units in total. One of these will represent an extensive dissertation on a topic involving IR, Politics, or ideally both.

    Career Possiblities

    By the time you’ve graduated, you’ll have learned how to approach and analyse problems formally, how to apply your background knowledge of politics and IR to those issues, and to address contemporary challenges in the light of the latest research. This will have prepared you to take on a role in a field such as international development, diplomacy, journalism or broadcasting, the law or civil service, public affairs, management or even teaching.

    Entry Credit

    Entry Requirements for UK and EU-nationals

    The University of Aberdeen’s International Business program typically requires applicants to have earned 3 A Levels at ABB or higher, or one of a number of equivalent qualifications.

    Entry Requirements for overseas (non-EU) students                         

    International students must be fluent in written and spoken English. This can be demonstrated by an IELTS score of 6.5 or better overall, with no less than 5.5 in any other section.
