    Course Summary

A BSc in Environmental Science from Royal Roads University will prepare you well for graduate school, or for a wide range of environmental, scientific or industrial careers in Canada or abroad.

Environmental science is one of the most important fields of study if you are concerned with the growing threat of climate change and ecological degradation facing the world today. It has been one of the core foci of the university for decades, and their Environmental Science program is particularly well thought of, both academically and in the eyes of their political, economic and industrial partners.

This is a ‘degree completion program’, and assumes that you have already completed 2 years of post-secondary education or their equivalent. It can be completed in several ways. One option is a 2 year blended learning experience where much of your study can be completed online. Another is an intensive 12 month on-campus experience.

If you are changing direction after starting in another career area, you will possess valuable work experience and professional awareness. Many employers actively seek candidates with these benefits. Our network of contacts, a dedicated employability service and a reputation in the legal profession mean we also have an outstanding track-record of finding students legal employment. Many employers favour GDL students in an increasingly competitive legal job market. Through studying another degree subject, you will have gained many transferable skills. By taking the conversion route into law, you are showing motivation and determination by choosing law at a later stage than some others. This looks good to employers.
