    Here you’ll explore better ways to lead, motivate and organise people in a tech industry context. 

    • Financial and Managerial Accounting

    You’ll focus on understanding financial documents and using them to make management decisions.

    • Managing Technological Innovation

    You’ll learn to manage innovation and technological change as well as tech portfolios.

    • Managing Economics for Tech Firms

    You’ll gain a deeper understanding of the concepts, models and applications of quantitative economic analysis. 

    • Strategic Use of Information and Knowledge

    You’ll study ways to manage information to better support good decision making.

    • Business Ethics

    You’ll learn how to address the moral and ethical issues presented by the tech industry.

    • Business Operations Design

    You’ll learn to develop innovative operational capacities and to support product innovation.

    • Entrepreneurship

     This module looks at risk, innovation, strategy and opportunity discovery. 

    Learning And Teaching

    SFU is dedicated to providing a dynamic learning environment for all of their students. The Beedie School of Business delivers its degree programs using lectures and seminars, though you will also participate in skills workshops and special events. 

    You’ll study under some of the best minds in their fields, and can define your own educational path. You can set your own pace by incorporating part time work, or continue at your current role while you study.

    Entry & Credit

    Successful completion will result in a 2 year MBA degree.

    Applicants to the Beedie School of Business’ MBA programs should have a good Canadian Bachelor’s degree behind them (or the international equivalent) as well as 4+ years of relevant work experience. 

    All classes are taught in English, and international students will be required to show proficiency in English by scoring well on an approved test.
