    Course Summary

    Solent University offers a very wide ranging BEng degree in Electronic Engineering which will prepare students to either take on a vitally needed role in any of a hundred different industries worldwide, or to continue on to a more prestigious MEng program either at Solent or any other fine university within the UK or abroad.

    You’ll study all aspects of electronic engineering – everything from communications and signal processing systems to embedded systems and analogue electronics. You’ll even begin researching and developing your own projects later in the course. This will equip you well to pursue a career in telecommunications, electronics design, maintenance engineering, research and development or just about anything else you can imagine.

    This program is fully accredited by IET, the Institution of Engineering and Technology. This demonstrates to potential employers that its graduates all meet the skill standards that the industry has established for employees in the most desirable roles.

    Solent University’s Electronic Engineering BEng degree program is heavily oriented towards digital signal processing, as this is one of the fastest growing specialties in the world today. Industries of all kinds are aggressively recruiting Engineering graduates with a firm grasp of this or almost any other specialty.     Entry Credit

    Successful completion will result in a BEng degree.

    All classes are taught in English, and international students will be required to show proficiency in English by scoring well on an approved test. An IELTS score of 6.0 overall and no less than 5.5 in any section would qualify, for example.
