Course Summary
Solent University offers a specialised MA program in Football, Development and Business Management. This provides a route to a lucrative career in football and sport on a business level rather than an athletic one. It is of interest both to management students who want to narrow their focus at the Master’s level as well as to those already engaged in sport based careers who wish to improve their promotion and business development potential.
This degree program focuses on both practice and theory, and includes examples drawn from local, national and international sport. It will allow you to gain a deep, insightful understanding of football as an industry, and to be able to analyse organisations and opportunities within it on a critical level.
Over your three semesters you’ll explore concepts like international sports marketing, the theory and practice of sport management, and the close links between politics and sport business development.
