    Course Summary

St George’s University London’s BSc degree in Children’s Nursing is delivered in cooperation with Kingston University. It is recognised by the Nursing and Midwifery Council and allows successful graduates to register as Children’s Nurses. You’ll be able to provide care for young people from birth to adulthood, learning in ground breaking simulation suites and from an internationally recognised academic team. In fact, many of your modules will be delivered by the very practitioners who have written or contributed to the textbooks used all over the UK.

You will explore modern, evidence-based care techniques and the cutting edge theories that underlie them. In addition to the scientific background you’ll need to provide modern nursing care, you’ll gain a wide range of practical and patient-focused skills by undertaking hospital placements. These will be conducted at specialised and general hospitals like Great Ormond Street, Royal Brompton, Chelsea, St George’s and many others.

If you are changing direction after starting in another career area, you will possess valuable work experience and professional awareness. Many employers actively seek candidates with these benefits. Our network of contacts, a dedicated employability service and a reputation in the legal profession mean we also have an outstanding track-record of finding students legal employment. Many employers favour GDL students in an increasingly competitive legal job market. Through studying another degree subject, you will have gained many transferable skills. By taking the conversion route into law, you are showing motivation and determination by choosing law at a later stage than some others. This looks good to employers.
