    Swansea University’s Materials Science and Engineering MEng program is a great way to learn about the structure, function and mechanical performance of the composites, alloys, polymers and other advanced materials that are building our future.

    You’ll come to understand the basics of design as well as the finer points of materials selection and processing. You’ll gain not just the practical skills you need to start a career, but also the experimental and writing skills you would need to conduct high level research.

    Learning And Teaching

    This is a very hands-on degree program with a great deal of laboratory and practical education time, as well as the traditional seminars, tutorials and lecture classes. You will also deliver a range of materials science and engineering projects which will put your writing and laboratory skills to the test.

    Entry Requirements

    For UK and EU-nationals

    This MEng program typically requires applicants to have achieved 3 A Levels of AAB or better, ideally including Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and/or Design Technology. Other certifications are accepted, at an equivalent level.

    For UK and EU-nationals

    International students must be fluent in written and spoken English. This can be demonstrated by an excellent IELTS score, or with one of several equivalent exams.

    International students must also have earned an educational certification that is the equivalent of that required for UK and EU students. The requirements can be found here.
