    Course Outline

    This BSc course is delivered over 4 years, with the third year spent either in an industrial placement or studying abroad.

    Year 1:

    Throughout year 1, you’ll build a core knowledge of economics and the mathematical skills you’ll need to study the concept in depth.

    Year 3 (Placement or Study Abroad):

    In your third year, you will have the opportunity to apply for a paid placement position or to study abroad at one of Leicester’s partner institutions.

    A year in industry will give you important real world job skills and help you build your business network. A year abroad will give you an international perspective and help you distinguish yourself from other graduate job applicants.

    Year 4:

    This year will feature three core modules, as well as 4 optional modules which will put the finishing touches on your fields of special expertise. You will also complete and deliver your Applied Econometrics Project.

    Entry Requirements for UK and EU-nationals

    Leicester’s Banking ad Finance program typically requires applicants to have earned 3 A Levels at ABB or higher, or 2 AS Levels can be counted as a single A Level. A Levels must include Mathematics at B or better.

    Entry Requirements for overseas (non-EU) students                         

    International students must be fluent in written and spoken English. This can be demonstrated by an IELTS score of 6.5 or better overall.
