    Course Summary

An MBA from the University of South Wales is designed for two primary types of students. The first type comes to the program fresh from a Bachelor’s level program in business or a closely related field. They generally seek out MB qualifications in order to compete for the kind of ‘fast track to management’ roles which will quickly establish them in a very competitive job market.

The other type of students who generally express interest in an MBA degree are veterans in their chosen industry or specialisation already. They have years of experience in the business world, but lack the training and certifications which would make them competitive choices for promotion within their existing organisation or in related roles in other companies.

You’ll study ways to integrate the results of the latest business research into your own organisation, and how to manage change gracefully and successfully. You’ll also develop leadership skills by studying problem solving, collaboration, innovation and creativity.

If you are changing direction after starting in another career area, you will possess valuable work experience and professional awareness. Many employers actively seek candidates with these benefits. Our network of contacts, a dedicated employability service and a reputation in the legal profession mean we also have an outstanding track-record of finding students legal employment. Many employers favour GDL students in an increasingly competitive legal job market. Through studying another degree subject, you will have gained many transferable skills. By taking the conversion route into law, you are showing motivation and determination by choosing law at a later stage than some others. This looks good to employers.
