    Course Outline

    This program is typically delivered over a single year at full time. Most classes are held in the afternoon and evenings two days each week. This allows students to attend full time classes without leaving their current positions.

    You’ll study at the Waterfront Building in Ipswich, in a small cohort of 10-15 students. This ensures that you’ll each have sufficient contact time to make the most out of every module and your own research projects. It includes several optional extras, such as frequent guest lectures from practicing management professionals.

    • Knowledge Management and Information Systems or Decision Making for Entrepreneurs or The Entrepreneurial Society: New Business Models
    • Managing through Finance or Islamic finance or Islamic Finance and Business
    • Organizational Behaviour
    • Research Methods
    • Dissertation

    The dissertation requirement includes conducting a substantial piece of research as well as demonstrating your skill with applying appropriate research methods.

    Learning & Teaching

    The curriculum of the University of Suffolk’s courses takes advantage of the school’s smaller size to make best use of flexible, creative learning. Traditional models (lectures, seminars, etc.) will be used side by side with Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) and fully integrated employability content.

    In addition to optional participation in a placement in order to impart real world skills pertaining to your chosen specialty, you’ll be taught widely applicable (and highly transferrable) skills.

    Entry Credit

    Successful completion will result in a full MSc degree.

    All classes are taught in English, and international students will be required to show proficiency in English by scoring well on an approved test. An IELTS score of 6.5 overall with no section scoring less than 5.5 would qualify, for example.
