    The Dissertation requirement:

    The capstone of this program requires you to complete a business research project with quite a bit of depth. This will demonstrate your ability to apply your new found skills to a real world issue. It should relate to a subject that is of particular interest to you and which represents your ideal career pathway, as employers will look to your dissertation subject to gauge your skills and suitability for their company. 

    Learning & Teaching

    The University of Wales Trinity Saint David strives to provide an academically rich, challenging and vocationally relevant learning experience for all of its students. Many different teaching and assessment methods are used, varying with the subject matter being taught and the preferences of each course tutor. Much of the curriculum will be work based, involving your current employer or one of the university’s partner organisations if you have not yet started your career.

    Career Possiblities

    An MSc in Financial Management will typically qualify you for immediate employment at a leadership or managerial level in a wide range of organisations. It demonstrates your potential to ascend to the level of Chief Executive, Financial Director or a similar ‘C Level’ post in time.

    The course is also open to qualified accountants who wish to gain their level 7 Masters award in Financial Management. Such students would likely be admitted directly into the Part 2 Dissertation module.

    Entry Credit

    Successful completion will result in a 1 year MSc degree.

    Applicants must typically have earned a 2:2 or better undergraduate degree in a related field or the international equivalent. The full list of qualifications which are accepted can be found here.

    All classes are taught in English, and international students will be required to show proficiency in English by scoring well on an approved test. A good IELTS score would qualify, for example.
