    Course Summary

An MSc in Accounting and Finance is a great way to establish yourself as an expert graduate in the field, and to qualify yourself for a wide range of lucrative professional careers. The program is characterised by small, intimate classes, a very supportive environment and lecturers who are as enthusiastic as they are expert in their particular subjects.

The course is of interest both to recent BSc graduates who wish to establish themselves as potential managers and leaders in the field and to those with existing professional experience who wish to enhance their prospects for promotion to leadership roles within their current (or indeed other) organisations.

Those students who already hold professional accounting qualifications should note that fast track degree options are available which can save them a great deal of time and effort. Either degree pathway will prepare you for employment in either the private or public sectors, in a wide range of accountancy, finance and financial services roles.

If you are changing direction after starting in another career area, you will possess valuable work experience and professional awareness. Many employers actively seek candidates with these benefits. Our network of contacts, a dedicated employability service and a reputation in the legal profession mean we also have an outstanding track-record of finding students legal employment. Many employers favour GDL students in an increasingly competitive legal job market. Through studying another degree subject, you will have gained many transferable skills. By taking the conversion route into law, you are showing motivation and determination by choosing law at a later stage than some others. This looks good to employers.

Approximately 94% of graduates will find employment or enter into a training or degree program within 6 months of successfully completing the program.
